Origins of La Marsellesa A Bit of History
In 1900, Felipe Miralles, a young doctor from Pego, traveled to Marseille to enter the wine trade. Having made his fortune, he returned with a French wife who upended local fashion. In 1905, he commissioned a mansion inspired by the grand Marseille residences, naming it La Marsellesa. Built with noble materials, it still boasts gilded columns, finely carved rosette ceilings, and majestic entrance doors. Every detail speaks of the original splendor and the singular spirit of this centenary building.
